Plastic Materials We Process
Material selection tailored to your product and performance needs.
Choosing the right material is critical to the success of your injection moulded component. At CJ Tool & Mouldings, we process a wide range of standard thermoplastics to suit diverse product requirements, from strength and durability to flexibility and finish.
Our experienced team advises design engineers and product developers on selecting the most appropriate material based on your part geometry, mechanical performance, and application environment.
Please note: We do not process high-temperature materials requiring moulding temperatures above 300°C.
Common Plastics We Mould
We regularly process a wide range of materials, including:
- ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) — Excellent toughness, dimensional stability, and impact resistance
- Polypropylene (PP) — Lightweight, chemical-resistant, and ideal for general-purpose applications
- Polycarbonate (PC) — High strength and clarity, suitable for robust, transparent parts
- Nylon (PA6 / PA66) — Strong, wear-resistant, and ideal for mechanical components
- Polyethylene (PE) — Durable and flexible, often used for everyday products and packaging
- HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) — Cost-effective with good impact strength, popular for housings and covers
- Acrylic (PMMA) — Transparent, UV resistant, ideal for optical and display components
- TPE / TPU (Thermoplastic Elastomers) — Flexible, soft-touch materials for grips, seals, or over-moulding
Not Sure Which Material is Best?
Our team provides technical support to help:
- Select the right plastic for strength, durability, flexibility, or aesthetics
- Optimise material choice for moulding efficiency and consistent quality
- Recommend material alternatives for specific environments or applications
We also offer over-moulding and insert moulding, combining different materials for advanced product designs.
